Sidesleeper
Eyes forward
Back turned
Elbows pointing down
Under Sunday shadow
Torso twisted
Knees up mother brown
And in the daylight
You've a different story
But sidesleeper
Tonight the vultures you know are circling
Oh sidesleeper when will they find out what evades you?
All of the flammable things that dare to burn you
And in the daylight you've a grand demeanour
But sidesleeper
Tonight the vultures you know are circling
Sidesleeper you can't be sure
Head tucked in close chest to jaw
And so umbilically safe in that familiar place
Sidesleeper right on the edge
Upon the evening's ledge
And still now you can't be sure
Head tucked in close chest to jaw

Grey Day
03:07
|

Which way are you inclined to fall?
Over yourself or back in to the fire?
Once were a terrorist of sorts
Now it seems there are no exit points
Mighty war
Almighty war
It's a grey day
It's a grey, grey day
Kissed by your own poison lips
The rope is getting wrapped around your neck
Once victoriously bold
Set upon to rage in silent halls
Mighty war
Almighty war
It's a grey day
It's a grey day
Almighty war
Oh bloody war
It's a grey day
It's a grey, grey day.

Dead Damp
03:59

Rhythm finds her by the sea shore
By the sea shore
By the sea shore
Pen to paper taking up time
Taking up time
Taking up time
Syllables swim under her skin
Under her skin
Under her skin
Pen to paper taking up time
Taking up time
Taking up time, time, time
Out in the middle of the dead damp
Dressed in her watery clothes
Caught in the kick of a chorus line
That nobody knows, nobody knows
Nobody knows
Eastern sun and northern wind crawling forth up fingers
Calling out to let them in, still the dead damp lingers
Down amongst a poet's thieves clutching at the straws
Coming to the surface clean upon loose leaf floors
Out in the middle of the dead damp
Dressed in her watery clothes
Caught in the kick of a chorus line
That nobody knows, nobody knows
Out in the middle of the dead damp
Dressed in her watery clothes
Caught in the kick of a chorus line
That nobody knows, nobody knows
Nobody knows.

Porchlight Parade Adelaide, Australia
Porchlight Parade are Adelaide-based folk trio Kate Henderson, Tom Kalleske and Pearl
Tassell.
From funk-metal to pirate-rock to acoustic alt-folk, the three have been around the traps, with Henderson picking up a Triple J Unearthed win in her late teens and a featured artist slot a decade later.
Is it possible to be unearthed-reburied-unearthed-reburied and unearthed again?
